This Privacy Policy explains how PharmaByMD ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use StatMD (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address, display name, and a securely hashed password (or, if you sign in with Google, your verified email and name from Google). We never store your password in plain text.
• Content you create — sessions, questions, polls and quizzes.
• Participant submissions — answers, votes and optional display names submitted during a live session. Participants join without an account.
• Usage and log data — basic technical information needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Payment information — handled by Razorpay. We do not collect or store your full card or bank details.

2. How we use information

We use this information to provide and maintain the Service, process payments, keep accounts secure, provide support, and improve the product.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run StatMD, and only as needed: Razorpay (payments), Google (optional sign-in), Render (hosting), Resend (transactional email), and Sentry (error monitoring). We may also disclose information where required by law.

4. Cookies

We use a single essential, signed session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Inactive sessions are automatically purged after about 30 days. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to data is limited. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@pharmabymd.com.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. Participants respond anonymously and are not required to create an account.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes.
